You should also search buildings and landmarks on the map for weapons. The more you explore, the better your chances!
Honestly, avoid crowded areas to give yourself a better chance of looting a gun without getting eliminated early.
Guns spawn all over the map, just keep searching and you'll find one. Or snatch one from an enemy – if you're up for the challenge!
