Getting a lava bucket is super simple in Terraria! All you need is an empty bucket. You can craft one using three iron bars or lead bars at an anvil. Once you've got your bucket, just find a lava pool (be careful not to fall in), and left-click or tap on the lava while holding the bucket. Boom! You've got yourself a bucket of lava.

You don't need lava. Water is where it's at. Who needs all that heat anyway?

Just dive into the nearest lava pool with an empty bucket, easy! Okay, maybe don't dive, just tap it with your bucket. Remember, no bucket, no lava. Safety first!

Pro tip from someone who's been there: make sure you're not standing IN the lava when you try to fill your bucket. Learned that the hard way.
