Just evolve Shinx to Luxray. Why complicate things?
You need to catch a Shinx first, then evolve it into Luxio using 25 Shinx Candy. After that, evolve Luxio into Luxray with 100 more Shinx Candy. Make sure to stockpile those Candies!
