Everyone's out here saying 'beat the Moon Lord' like it's easy peasy. Well, it ain't! But yeah, that's the way to do it. Finally got mine after a dozen tries. Spoiler: Totally worth every rage quit.
To snag yourself a Portal Gun in Terraria, you gotta defeat the Moon Lord boss. He's the big bad of the game's Lunar Events, and once you wipe the floor with him, he drops the Portal Gun as part of his loot table. Not gonna lie, getting to him is no walk in the park, but the payoff? Totally worth it for that sweet, sweet Portal Gun action.
