Just build the walls and connect them up. Once you got your walls in place, the roof appears magically. Pretty simple!
I had the same question last week! I found out that as soon as you place all four walls and some flooring, BAM, roof appears. Made my castle look sweet.
Ensure you have enclosed walls and a foundation to see a roof automatically generated. No manual roofing here!
