To get a save in MLB The Show 22, a pitcher needs to finish a game for the winning team under certain circumstances. They must enter the game with a lead of three runs or less and pitch at least one inning, or come in with the tying run either on base, at bat, or on deck, and then finish the game without giving up the lead.

Basically, just bring in your closer in the 9th inning when you're winning by 3 runs or less, and have him finish the game without losing the lead.

Just remember: 3 run lead or less, your pitcher finishes the game, boom, you got a save.

Speaking from experience, make sure your closer has good stamina and control to avoid blowing the save!
