To snag yourself a tarantula in Animal Crossing, you gotta play during the right season and time. Tarantulas only show up from November to April between 7 PM and 4 AM. Make sure your pockets are empty cause these eight-legged critters are skittish. Try to move slowly with your net ready, and when it raises its legs, stop moving! Then, when it lowers them, get a little closer until you're in range to swing your net. Good luck, you're gonna need it!

just run at it, net swinging wildly. 10/10 it works every time... if your aim is to get bitten. Seriously, slow and steady wins the race here.

Pro tip: Clear out an island using a Nook Miles ticket. Remove all the trees, rocks, and flowers, and tarantulas will spawn more frequently. I tried this method, and it turned nightmarishly effective. The island turned into a tarantula haven, and I filled my pockets in no time. Just be prepared for a lot of heart-pounding moments as you chase these critters around.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
