Honestly, getting a villager to pack their bags in Animal Crossing isn't an exact science, but here's a couple of methods people swear by: ignore them completely or, conversely, talk to them so much they get fed up. Remember, it might take a few days of doing this, so patience is key. Also, complaining to Isabelle about them doesn't actually make them move out, it just resets their catchphrases and clothes!

I had this one villager, Bertha. Lovely, but it was time for her to explore new horizons. I tried the ignoring tactic, and after what felt like an eternity (actually just a week), she finally had the thought bubble over her head, asking to leave. It works, but you gotta be patient and a bit lucky too.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
