Catching a whale shark in Animal Crossing is all about timing and a bit of luck! First off, make sure it's between June and September (in the Northern Hemisphere) or December and March (if you're in the Southern Hemisphere). Whale sharks only visit during these months. You'll find them in the ocean, so grab your fishing rod and head to the beach. Look for a large shadow in the water with a fin sticking out - that's your cue! Be patient, as they're rare, but keep your eyes peeled and you'll snag one eventually!

Whale sharks are super overrated. Focus on catching all the other fish instead. Diversity is key in Animal Crossing!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
