To get ability upgrades in Splatoon 2, you gotta pick up some fresh gear from the shop or win it through Salmon Run rewards. Then, with the help of the friendly sea urchin Spyke (or Murch in Splatoon 2), you can reroll or add ability chunks to your gear鈥攃ollect enough chunks, and you'll be swimming in abilities!
