Getting adamantite in Terraria isn't as straightforward as finding it lying around. First, you have to enter hardmode by defeating the Wall of Flesh boss. This changes your world in many ways, including allowing new ores to spawn. To get Adamantite Ore to spawn, you need to smash Demon/Crimson Altars with the Pwnhammer you get from the Wall of Flesh. Each altar you smash adds more ores to your world, but be careful because smashing them also has a chance to corrupt random parts of your world with Hallow or Corruption/Crimson. Adamantite starts spawning deep underground, so get your best pickaxe ready and start exploring!

Honestly, I skip Adamantite most of the time. Titanium armor set bonus is so much better. To each their own, though!

Just beat the Wall of Flesh and smash some altars, ez pz. But seriously, watch out for the wraiths when you smash those altars. They're not here to party.
