To get the Aerogel recipe in Subnautica, you'll need to scan a Gel Sack and a Ruby. Gel Sacks are found in deep caves or attached to walls in the Jellyshroom Cave and other deep areas, while Rubies can be found in the Grand Reef and the Blood Kelp Zone.
