To get your first axe in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, you'll need to keep an eye on the Nookling stores. The axe will appear randomly for sale in either Timmy and Tommy's store after you've upgraded from the tent. Make sure to check the shop everyday cuz their inventory changes. Once you see it, grab it fast!

Fun fact: once you've got your basic axe from the Nookling's store, you can use it until it breaks. But if you're looking for something that lasts longer, keep an eye out for the silver and gold axes! The silver axe can sometimes be won on the island after you've unlocked it, and the gold axe鈥攜ou get by buying a lot of saplings. Happy chopping!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
