If you had chat backup enabled before the messages were deleted, you can easily restore them from Google Drive (Android) or iCloud (iOS). Reinstall WhatsApp and follow the prompts.
You can recover deleted WhatsApp messages through your previous backups. Reinstall the app and restore the backup when prompted. Worked for me a couple of times!
