To catch a Barreleye in Animal Crossing, you gotta be patient and ready for late-night fishing! These rare fish only appear between 9 PM and 4 AM all year round. Make sure you're looking in the sea, not rivers or ponds. Cast your line for any small shadow size; despite its rarity, the Barreleye's shadow is just as tiny as a horse mackerel's. Keep at it, and eventually, you'll reel in this elusive fish!

Just FYI, the Barreleye in Animal Crossing isn't worth your time. Way too rare and the effort doesn't match the payoff, IMHO. Stick with easier catches that sell well.

I caught my Barreleye after hours of trying, right off the pier! It was close to midnight. Definitely a test of patience, but so rewarding when that little shadow turned out to be the rare fish I was after. Don't give up, and make sure your inventory has space!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
