Just keep fishing! Seriously, the more you fish, the sooner you'll unlock the recipe for a better rod. It's all in the grind.

Buy it! If DIY isn't your style, save up those Bells and keep checking Nook's Cranny. They occasionally sell better fishing rods. Plus, it saves you the hassle of crafting.

To level up your fishing game in Animal Crossing, start by using the flimsy fishing rod. You'll then unlock the recipe to craft a better, sturdier rod after catching enough fish. Keep an eye on your Nook Miles achievements for this! Once you've got the DIY recipe, gather the needed materials (iron nuggets and a flimsy rod) and craft your upgraded rod at any crafting bench. Easy-peasy!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
