First, try lowering your graphics settings in the game. Turn down shadows, textures, and effects. Your GPU will thank you.
Hot take: Just play on Xbox or PlayStation. You'll get stable FPS without all the tweaking.
I disabled V-sync and saw my FPS jump significantly. Worth a shot if you haven't tried it yet.
