Sounds like you're dealing with the accessibility settings! Click the gear icon in the top-right corner, go to 'Settings', then 'Accessibility', and turn off 'Selection Mode'.

Had this issue too! The blue box appears when the 'Selection Mode' is accidentally turned on. You can quickly turn it off by heading to the 'Accessibility' settings and toggling it.
