Focus on progressing through the main story until you reach 'The Legendary Super Saiyan' mission. Complete it, and you'll be rewarded with the ability to go Super Saiyan.
Just hit level 40 and clear the main story missions. After that, you can unlock Super Saiyan form!
Get to level 40, then make sure you've beaten the 'Demigra's Ambition' saga. Talk to Trunks at the Time Nest for the Super Saiyan quest.
