How to get characters in Valorant
To get agents (characters) in Valorant, you start with a few unlocked from the beginning. As you play and earn EXP, you'll unlock free agents through the game's progression system. You get to unlock two agents for free as you complete the initial tiers of the game's progression. For more, you can either spend Valorant Points (VP), which you buy with real money, or level up agents' contracts to tier 5 by earning experience points (EXP) through playing matches.

Just play the game, fam. You earn agents by simply grinding and leveling up their contracts. No need to spend real cash unless you want to skip the grind. But where's the fun in that?
Firsthand experience here: I unlocked my fav agent by grinding their contract to tier 5. Took some time, but it was totally worth it cause I got better at the game while doing it. Plus, you feel a sense of achievement doing it the old-fashioned way.
Hot take: Just buy the agents with Valorant Points. Grinding takes forever, and time is money, people!
