For all you console players out there, toggle the cockpit view by pressing the 'right stick' (R3 on PlayStation, RS on Xbox) while flying.

Easy-peasy! Just press the 'V' key on your keyboard during a battle to switch to cockpit view.

Just use third-person view, cockpit view is overrated. But if you insist, press 'V' on PC, or 'R3' on console.
