To snag yourself a Depth Meter in Terraria, you gotta be ready to take on some cave dwelling monsters! Specifically, keep an eye out for Cave Bats, Giant Bats, Jungle Bats, Ice Bats, Spore Bats, and Hellbats - any one of these pesky critters has a chance to drop it. So, sharpen your swords or load your bows and start your bat hunting season. Good luck!

Short and sweet - farm bats. Any and all bats. Happy hunting!

Depth Meter? Oh, that took me a while but totally worth it. Aim for the bats in the caves or underground. Personally, I found mine after defeating what felt like the hundredth Giant Bat. Definitely requires patience, but keep at it, and you'll get that drop eventually. Pro tip: The deeper you go, the better your chances.
