Just spam gravestones. That's literally it. Where there's death, there's Ecto Mist.
I figured it out the hard way: dying a lot. But it was worth it! Setting up a dedicated graveyard area where you don't mind the eerie atmosphere and frequent ghost sightings is the key. Once you have enough gravestones to convert the area into a Graveyard biome, the Ecto Mist starts appearing. It's pretty cool for more than just the mist; it changes the whole vibe of the area.
