Unfortunately, once you've deleted messages on Facebook, they're usually gone for good from the main interface. Still, you can always check your email notifications if you had them enabled - sometimes they contain copies of conversations!
I've been able to recover deleted messages by downloading my Facebook data. Go to settings, click on 'Your Facebook Information,' and then 'Download Your Information.' It's a bit of a process, but worth a try!
