Just hit up any old hospital or research facility. Places that looked like they once had brains doing brainy things are usually stacked with microscopes. And guess what? Microscopes = fiber optics. Easy peasy.

If ur lazy like me just find a settlement with a ton of junk and start scrapping. You'll be surprised what has fiber optics in it.

Honestly? Just buy it from vendors if you can't be bothered to hunt for it. Takes caps, but saves you the headache of scouring every inch of the Commonwealth.

One way to snag some fiber optics in Fallout 4 is by scavenging items like 'Biometric Scanners' and 'Microscopes' and then breaking them down. Always keep an eye out in labs and high-tech areas, they're like a gold mine for this stuff. Also, don't forget to tag fiber optics for search in the game's crafting menu; it makes the items glow and easier to find during your wasteland wanderings.

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!
