To get fish to breed in Subnautica, all you need is an Alien Containment tank in your base. Just put two of the same species in there and wait! Pretty soon, you'll have a baby fish party!

Simple! Build an Alien Containment tank, place two fish of the same type in it, and wait around for the magic to happen.

From my experience, once you have an Alien Containment tank, it's super easy. Get two fish of the same kind, drop them in, and just keep an eye out for baby fish. I ended up with a whole school before I knew it!

Fish won't breed if they aren't in an Alien Containment tank. So get one up and running in your base.
