Getting GTA Online on Xbox One is pretty straightforward. Just head over to the Xbox Store, search for Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) since GTA Online comes with it, and purchase the game. Once you've downloaded it, GTA Online will be available to play as part of GTA V. Make sure you have an Xbox Live Gold membership, though, because you'll need it to play online.

Just buy GTA V. GTA Online comes with it. Simple as that.

Pro tip: sometimes, you can find GTA V on sale on the Xbox Store or other retailers. Saves you a few bucks and gets you into the chaos of GTA Online. And yes, you absolutely need Xbox Live Gold to play online, no way around it.
