Honestly, just save yourself the headache and visit a friend's island to mine their rocks. It's way faster if you're running low and your island's rocks aren't cooperating. Did this with a buddy and stocked up on iron nuggets in no time. Plus, it's a good excuse to check out what your friend has been up to on their island!

Iron nuggets are pretty essential in Animal Crossing, especially when you're looking to craft tools or certain furniture items. The best way to snag some is by hitting rocks with a shovel or an axe. But, pro tip: Don't eat any fruit before doing so because you'll end up smashing the rock, and it'll take a day for it to respawn. You can hit each rock up to 8 times, so position yourself right to maximize your haul!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
