Nah, just plug in a USB keyboard. Way easier.

Just a heads up, if you're looking for a physical keyboard experience, you'll need to connect one via USB or Bluetooth. The built-in virtual keyboard is great for quick inputs, but for longer typing sessions, nothing beats a real keyboard.

Getting a keyboard in Steam Deck's desktop mode is pretty easy, thankfully! Just tap the 'Steam' button to bring up the Steam Overlay, then select the 'Keyboard' option from there. It's like summoning a keyboard genie with the press of a button!

I spent a good hour figuring this out lol. Just hit the Steam button, and there it is. The 'Keyboard' option. Felt kinda dumb after, but hey, we live and learn. Works like a charm for quick searches or commands.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
