In the original Spyro games, you can gain extra lives by collecting 100 small blue butterfly spirits from the fodder enemies like sheep and chickens. Also, grabbing those lovely silver dragon statues scattered around helps to keep your life count in the green!

Usually, to get lives in Spyro, you wanna hunt down those 1-up boxes or collect 10 butterflies. You might find 'em hiding out in a corner or behind some rocks.
