They usually have pretty reasonable tasks, and before you know it, you'll have a nice stash of lunchboxes. Also, keep an eye on those objectives! Some of them reward you with lunchboxes for doing things you'd be doing anyway, like collecting resources or leveling up your Dwellers.

Honestly, just buy them. If you're really into the game and wanna support the devs, dropping a few bucks on lunchboxes isn't the worst thing. Plus, it's the quickest way to get them without waiting around for objectives to complete.
