Getting a Magma Stone in Terraria is all about heading to the Underworld biome. You gotta dig deep till you can't dig anymore, or till you hit the realm of lava and demons. Your best bet is breaking Hellstone Bricks or looting Shadow Chests down there. There's also a chance that Fire Imps or Hellbats will drop one for you, so don't shy away from a little scuffle with them!
