Honestly, people overcomplicate it. Just focus on upgrading your gear and weapons first. I used a bunch of potions and had a solid arena set up. Took a few tries, but it's definitely doable solo. Make sure you fight them in the right order for your gear level; I found The Destroyer to be the easiest to start with.
