The easiest way to get metal is by smelting your unwanted weapons. Crafting duplicate weapons gives you Scrap Metal, and combining Scrap Metal makes Reclaimed and Refined Metal. Happy smelting!

Trade with other players! Lots of people are willing to trade metal for your items. Find a good deal and start bargaining!

You could also buy metal directly from the Mann Co. Store if you're feeling impatient. A little money can go a long way!

Just play the game! You'll naturally get weapons as drops, and you can then recycle them into metal. Simple as that.

I've played TF2 for ages, and trust me, the best way to get metal is through trading. I got my entire outfit just by trading metals!
