First up, if you're running low on cryo cells (the ammo for the Cryolator), one of the easiest ways to refill is by hitting up weapon merchants. These folks seem to have an endless supply of everything you need. So, just travel to Diamond City or any other major settlement with a weapons dealer, and you should be able to stock up on cryo cells. Prices vary though, so maybe bring some stuff to barter with!
Another solid tip is to check out the various containers and loot spots across the Commonwealth. Ammo boxes and safes, especially those hidden in more challenging locations, can sometimes hold these precious cryo cells. It's like a wasteland treasure hunt!

Don't forget looting! High-level enemies, especially those in power armor or with energy weapons, sometimes drop cryo cells. It's not a guarantee, but it's worth the effort if you're out clearing raider camps or exploring high-level dungeons.
Crafting's the way to go, IMO. You need the right perks, but with the 'Scrounger' and 'Science!' perks, you can eventually craft cryo cells yourself. It's a bit of a grind to get there, but hey, that's the post-apocalyptic hustle for you.
