From experience, farming gold in the CORE area is pretty effective. Monsters there drop a good amount of gold, and it's a great spot for grinding.
Don't forget to use Temmie Village! You can sell items to the Tem Shop, and once you get the Temmie Armor, you won't need to spend on healing items as much.
Here's a hot take: Just get good at not spending it. Spend wisely and only buy what you really need!
