Join a strong alliance and participate in events. You'll get tons of resources and speed-ups that can skyrocket your power.
Focus on upgrading your City Hall and key buildings first; they give the most power boost. Plus, max out your troops and tech research for a killer combo!
Just buy a bunch of gems and use them for speed-ups. Not the most free-to-play-friendly method, but it works!
Train lots of troops! More soldiers = More power. Simple as that.
