Unfortunately, Mortal Kombat 9 isn't available on Xbox Series S through the usual backward compatibility. But you can still play it via Xbox Cloud Gaming if you have an Xbox Game Pass subscription!

Just get an Xbox 360 disc if you have an external disc drive that works with Series S. Otherwise, digital download is your friend.

You need to grab the digital version of Mortal Kombat 9 from the Xbox Marketplace. It's backwards compatible, so you鈥檙e good to go!

You can't get Mortal Kombat 9 on Xbox Series S. Try Mortal Kombat X or Mortal Kombat 11 instead; they are awesome and available!

If you're a Mortal Kombat player looking for extra coins or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Mortal Kombat essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
