How to Get the Old Guns Quest in Fallout 4
You want to start the Old Guns quest? Easy peasy. Just make sure you're General of the Minutemen and have completed the quest to retake the Castle. Then, just wait a bit in-game, and Ronnie Shaw should appear at the Castle looking to chat with you. Talk to her, and bam, you're on your way to unlocking the big guns.

To kick off the Old Guns quest in Fallout 4, you need to progress enough in the game to unlock the Minutemen faction quests. After successfully taking back the Castle, give it some time, and eventually, Ronnie Shaw will show up outside the Castle. She'll get you started on the Old Guns quest, leading you to some sweet artillery action. So, patience, young grasshopper, and make sure you've cleared the Castle first!
Seriously, just hang around the Castle after you've done the necessary Minutemen quests. Ronnie Shaw will eventually show up when she's good and ready. No rush. It's Fallout, not a race.
