You can get other companions by crafting them in your Foundry! For example, to get Kubrows, you'll need to complete the Howl of the Kubrow quest and incubate an egg. For Sentinels, you can purchase their blueprints in the Market and then build them using the Foundry.

Just visit the in-game market! You can find blueprints for Sentinels and Moas there, OR you can get a Kubrow egg from Earth missions. Easy peasy!
