Just unplugging the controller should do the trick. If not, restart the game too.

Click on the gear icon in the top right corner, go to settings, and switch to keyboard/mouse input. Easy fix!

Maybe consider reinstalling the game if you're still stuck. It's a bit of a hassle, but it can reset the settings.
