To get your hands on a pet bunny in Terraria, you're gonna need the Carrot item. This can be obtained by purchasing it from the Zoologist NPC, who sells it for 5 gold coins. But here's the catch: she'll only sell it to you if you've filled out at least 10% of your Bestiary. So, start cataloging those critters to unlock your fluffy companion!

Just buy a Carrot from the Zoologist, easy. You need to have 10% of your Bestiary filled though.

I got my pet bunny on my second playthrough. Had to fill up that Bestiary a bit, but once I did, the Zoologist sold me the Carrot. My bunny's been hopping around my base ever since. Worth every gold coin!

Honestly, filling the Bestiary to 10% is a hassle just for a pet bunny. There's cooler pets out there.
