Just tap the plus sign to create a new video, then swipe to find 'Templates.' Choose a photo template, and you'll be in photo mode!
I've used photo mode by clicking the + button for a new video, then selecting 'Templates' and picking one that fits my pictures. Works like a charm!
Update your app if you don't see it; photo mode lives in the 'Templates' section when you start new TikToks.
You don't need photo mode. Just add images directly to your video. Problem solved.
