I had that pink thing on my neck too! It's the Helminth Cyst. You can remove it in the Infested room after it grows out in 7 days.
Oh, you've got the Helminth Cyst! Go to your ship's Infested room. You'll unlock it after completing The Glast Gambit quest. Interact with the chair to remove it.
That pink blob is the Helminth Cyst. Once it fully matures (about a week), head to the Infested room on your Orbiter to get it zapped away.
