If your tablet doesn't have the Play Store, you can download the APK from a trusted site like APKMirror. Make sure your settings allow installs from unknown sources!
I installed it on my tablet by just logging into my Google account in the Play Store and downloading it like any other app. Works perfectly!
Might not be the most legit advice, but grab a kid who knows how to do this stuff - they'll have you catching 'em all in no time!
