Then, launch ProtonUp-Qt, and from there you can add and manage different versions of Proton, including Proton-GE. Just find Proton-GE in the list, click install, and bam, you're all set to enjoy those sweet, sweet gaming enhancements.

Honestly, the default Proton works fine for most games. Proton-GE is great for that extra compatibility, but don't fix what ain't broken.
