First off, you'll wanna switch your Steam Deck to Desktop Mode. Once you're looking at the desktop, open up Discover and search for 'ProtonUp-Qt'. Install that bad boy. Then, launch ProtonUp-Qt, and from there you can add and manage different versions of Proton, including Proton-GE. Just find Proton-GE in the list, click install, and bam, you're all set to enjoy those sweet, sweet gaming enhancements.

Honestly, the default Proton works fine for most games. Proton-GE is great for that extra compatibility, but don't fix what ain't broken.

Simple answer: Desktop Mode -> Discover -> Install ProtonUp-Qt -> Launch it -> Add Proton-GE. Enjoy the gaming upgrade!

Proton-GE is a game changer, literally. Managed to run games I never thought would work on the Steam Deck. Desktop Mode, ProtonUp-Qt, and a couple of clicks. That鈥檚 all it took.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
