Hey, getting red shards in Apex Legends, which are actually called Heirloom Shards, is all about luck. You'll need to open Apex Packs, the game's version of loot boxes. Each pack has a less than 1% chance to drop 150 Heirloom Shards, which you can then use to purchase an Heirloom set of your choice. Remember, the magic number is opening around 500 packs since you're guaranteed Heirloom Shards in one of those if luck wasn't on your side earlier.

Short answer: open Apex Packs. Long grind? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.

The only real way to get red shards, or Heirloom Shards, is by grinding. Lots of Apex Packs. And I mean, a LOT. Got mine after what felt like an eternity of playing, but man, was it worth it! So keep at it, and your chance will come.

Honestly, just play the game a lot or get ready to spend some cash. There's no shortcut.

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
