Tried deleting my second account last month. Just followed the steps on the Facebook Help Center, and it was gone within a few days.
Head over to your account settings, find the option to delete your account, and follow the instructions. Easy peasy!
Honestly, just deactivate it and forget it exists. Problem solved!
