You can unlock Ridley by playing the World of Light campaign or by doing Classic Mode with Samus, then you’ll eventually unlock Ridley.

I unlocked Ridley by completing Classic Mode with Yoshi. It was a blast!

If you’re impatient, just keep playing Versus matches. Ridley challenges you after a set number of matches.
