I've had good luck changing my MTU settings. Go to your Xbox settings, then Network, Advanced Settings, and then set MTU to 800. Works like a charm.

Easiest trick? Just go to the pause menu, select 'Online,' then 'Find New Session' and keep trying this until you get a solo lobby. Patience is key!

My personal go-to: Load into a public session, then disconnect and reconnect your wired internet (or disable and enable your WiFi). The game usually dumps you in a solo session!
